What's in the cup

  • Red Fruits
  • Chocolate
  • Balanced Acidity

Red fruit sweetness, chocolate richness, and balanced acidity. The Natural is a fruit-forward specialty coffee from Black & White Coffee Roasters in Raleigh, North Carolina. Enjoy it in a single-serve drip bag: ground coffee in its own filter, ready to brew with hot water. Each bag makes one approximately 192–225 mL (about 6.5–7.6 US fl oz) cup.

What does The Natural taste like?

Look for ripe red-fruit notes reminiscent of berries and cherries, a chocolate-like richness, and a lively but balanced acidity. It is a flavorful introduction to fruit-forward specialty coffee without losing the comforting depth many coffee drinkers enjoy.

A blend built around flavor

The Natural was Black & White's first coffee offering. The roaster selects and adjusts the blend's components as harvests change, with the goal of maintaining its recognizable red-fruit and chocolate profile. It is the finished cup—not one fixed origin story—that makes this coffee distinctive.

How a drip bag works

Each bag contains ground coffee inside a paper filter with supports that rest on the rim of your mug. Open the packet, set the filter over your cup, and pour hot water slowly through the grounds. Remove the filter when brewing is complete. No grinder or separate dripper is needed.

It's a practical way to enjoy the same specialty coffee at home, at work, or while traveling—another brewing option alongside the methods you already enjoy.

Founded by two-time US Barista Champions, Black & White has been one of the most respected independent specialty roasters in the country since their first café opened in Raleigh. The Natural was their opening statement — and it still is.

Brew it in three steps

A drip bag is pour-over in a paper filter that hangs on your mug. No grinder, no dripper, no cleanup.

  1. Boil.

Heat water to 194–199°F (90–93°C), a minute off the boil.

  2. Hang.

Tear the top open, unfold the two paper hangers and rest them on your mug.

  3. Pour.

Bloom for 30 seconds, then pour slowly to about 192 mL. Lift the bag and drink.
